CloseParul is Head of EU New Business & AXA NEXT Labs-Europe at AXA UK Group. She is responsible for Inorganic and Innovation strategy across Group’s General Insurance, Health, and Asset Management businesses. She member of the AXA UK Seed Fund Investment committee which invests in Fintech, Insurtech and Digital Health start-ups for the AXA Group.
Parul is a Financial Services and PE specialist who has worked in UK, Germany and India. She is a mentor at The Duke of York Pitch@Palace and Mayor of London’s International Business Partnering Programme. She is on the Expert Panel for FinTech 50 Europe.

Prior to joining AIG in 2011 Simon spent the previous 20 years working in the personal lines claims arena where he held a number of senior leadership roles at RBSI and more latterly Tesco Bank where he held the role of Head of Claims. Upon joining AIG and making the move into the Commercial claims arena he has overseen a roots and branch review of AIG’s claims Casualty Claims service with a focus on putting the customer back at the heart of the claims process. Listening to the customer, evolving the service you deliver based on what they tell you and letting that drive the technology solutions you implement remain the principles on which Simon continues to his teams across the UK. A father of three and a passionate Manchester United fan Simon describes his time away from work as either cleaning up spilt milk or crying over it, referencing his team’s well documented demise from greatness over the last 5 years.
Karl Gray is the Global Head for Motor and Personal Lines at the Zurich Insurance Group. He leads Zurich's Global Working Groups on Autonomous / Semi-Autonomous Driving and the Sharing Economy. He is a member of the World Economic Forum's 'Global Future Council on Mobility'.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Gray was the Chief Underwriting Officer for Zurich's Middle East and Africa region. Before that he held a number of leadership positions, with over a decade in emerging markets.
He started his professional career in the UK and has over 18 years experience of developing motor and personal lines businesses, leading both underwriting and non-underwriting functions.
Michael Anderson is the Business Owner for Predictive Analytics at Guidewire Software. He is responsible for developing Guidewire’s predictive analytic strategy and delivering value based solutions to Guidewire’s global customer base.
Prior to joining Guidewire, Michael was Sr. Director of Data Sciences at Audatex, a Solera Company and Director, Claims Services at Travelers Insurance. Michael holds a BA in Accounting from Quinnipiac University and a MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Lindley Gooden is a journalist and filmmaker who has worked at the very top levels of British broadcasting and news since the early 1990s.
He has worked in national radio and television as:
- A Senior BBC Journalist
- A presenter on channels as diverse as BBC One, Radio 1, BBC Three and Five and a range of other national and regional radio stations.
- The Consumer Affairs Correspondent on Sky News and Five
Prior to his years in the national media, he was known as the most successful Head of News in local commercial radio – launching new services and dramatically raising audience share and reach, using tools that have since been adopted by radio groups across the UK.
Lindley now works with companies, charities, government and other organisations creating and delivering their own media needs.
