Gemma is the Global Head of AI and Advanced Business Analytics at Allianz. Prior to joining Allianz, she led research in the area of machine learning at INRIA, France, where she has held a tenured position since 2010. Before that, Gemma worked as a researcher at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, Finland, and received her PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain. Gemma loves to connect business development with new technologies. Through her work, she aims to contribute to an open and sustainable data-driven society.
Over 20 years of international experience in various senior data leadership roles within a variety of multinational organisations – including Barclays Group, the European Commission, Allianz Cornhill Insurance and British Sky Broadcasting Corporation. Currently Head of Data Services at AXA – the world's second-largest financial services company by revenue – with accountability for data vision, strategy, architecture, engineering, science, AI, governance and operations.
Simon Jones is Lead Data Scientist at Ingenie, a pioneering telematics motor insurance broker focusing on younger drivers. He has worked previously at The Floow, a leading mobility insurtech partner and as an academic neuroscientist for over a decade before entering insurance.
Alex has over 25 years’ experience in the strategy and delivery of advanced Analytics solutions to the Insurance industry across Life, General, and Speciality lines.
He leads Genpact’s European consulting business for Data and Analytics, including Big Data, Data Science and Data Engineering and has served as Programme Director on Analytics change programmes for the largest UK and International Insurers.
Lindley Gooden is a journalist and filmmaker who has worked at the very top levels of British broadcasting and news since the early 1990s.
He has worked in national radio and television as:
- A Senior BBC Journalist
- A presenter on channels as diverse as BBC One, Radio 1, BBC Three and Five and a range of other national and regional radio stations.
- The Consumer Affairs Correspondent on Sky News and Five
Prior to his years in the national media, he was known as the most successful Head of News in local commercial radio – launching new services and dramatically raising audience share and reach, using tools that have since been adopted by radio groups across the UK.
Lindley now works with companies, charities, government and other organisations creating and delivering their own media needs.
