Phil loves insurance and fantastic customer experiences and what better way to combine his passions than by helping lead a technology company that delivers SME's protection on two continents. Phil has been part of the management team at Simply Business for 5 years where he has looked after pricing, strategy, and operations prior to taking his current role as Managing Director - MGA. Before joining Simply Business Phil spent 10 years in roles throughout the insurance value chain from broking to banking, insurance company to aggregation.
Outside of Simply Business, Phil is Non-Executive Director of the Society of Underwriting Professionals, he is an ACII and Chartered Insurer, holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and a BSc in Maths from the University of Bath.
Ed is the MD of Carrot Insurance. He spent the formative years of his career working in commercial insurance, where he developed a number of innovative products which used risk management techniques such as driver training, forward facing accident cameras and telematics to reduce vehicle accident rates and ultimately reduce premiums for fleet customers.
Given the escalating costs of motor insurance for young drivers, Ed saw an opportunity to use similar risk management techniques to develop a way of offering responsible young people a method of demonstrating their safe driving ability through telematics technology. In 2011 he joined Nick Corrie in forming Carrot Insurance.
Ed is a complete technophile and believes the ability to analyse and interrelate large datasets is the key to achieving better results for insurers and a better deal for young drivers. He thinks young people are unfairly stereotyped in many ways and wants Carrot to be the champion of its customers.
Tim is Transformation Director at AXA Commercial UK, leading their digital transformation journey. He has spent the last 25-years working with carriers, brokers and market bodies across the UK, Europe, and the US, to deliver complex programmes of change that realise the opportunities that becoming a data-led, digital business can create for customers, intermediaries, and shareholders.
Patrick is Regional Vice President, Insurance at Salesforce UK&I.
He has spent the past 4 years helping the UK General Insurance, Life & Pensions & Broking community to embrace digital transformation and simplify customer facing activities.
Patrick joined Salesforce in 2013 and has also held roles as a Global Account Manager and Sales Director. Prior to that he spent 15 years with IBM in the Sales & Distribution & Software Business.
Patrick is passionate about helping Insurers to reduce the complexity of their operations and services and to better understand and respond to changing customer needs.
