AJ Hashim has lead the Innovation and Emerging Technology team for the past 3 years, developing future technology strategies and executing through proof of concepts in the Corporate Bank. He has delivered a number of high profile initiatives for the bank, pioneering the use of AI and Blockchain across the technology estate. He previously did his Masters research into the optimization of making financial decisions using artificial neural networks, and has a passion for the commercial applications of new technologies.
As the Open Banking & PSD2 Programme Manager for HSBC UK & Europe, Andrew oversees both the retail and commercial implementation and deployment of open banking within the bank. He works to bring together various teams across HSBC under a single banner to ensure the smooth implementation of open banking.
Paul is Tandem’s Chief Technology Officer and is both an expert in all things technical and a great communicator. His interest in tech was first sparked when he got his first computer when he was 11 years old. He studied Business Studies as an undergraduate then Computer Science for an M.Sc.. He’s been involved with digital and the internet since 1999 when he worked for a digital marketing brand company in Soho, building Web 1.0 sites for big brand staking their first steps onto the internet. Since then Paul has worked for the BBC, Channel 4, and ITV on their video on demand platforms. Paul is available for speaking opportunities on Open Banking, data protection and all things fintech.
Alex has worked in financial services over the past 15 years. He began his career working in financial markets at JP Morgan Chase and has worked extensively in Retail Banking (HBOS, LBG and Metro Bank) in a number of roles encompassing pricing, strategy, proposition development and Digital. He holds a degree in Biological Sciences and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
A veteran in both the finance and technology industries, Richard is helping to lead Feedzai's global scaling. Before joining Feedzai, Richard held Vice President roles at both Experian and Accertify, during which time he built global sales teams and helped lead regional expansion. Richard has held leadership positions with Visa and PayPal, following various technical and development roles, and has also served as a member on the board of the Merchant Risk Council.
Lindley Gooden is a journalist and filmmaker who has worked at the very top levels of British broadcasting and news since the early 1990s.
He has worked in national radio and television as:
- A Senior BBC Journalist
- A presenter on channels as diverse as BBC One, Radio 1, BBC Three and Five and a range of other national and regional radio stations.
- The Consumer Affairs Correspondent on Sky News and Five
Prior to his years in the national media, he was known as the most successful Head of News in local commercial radio – launching new services and dramatically raising audience share and reach, using tools that have since been adopted by radio groups across the UK.
Lindley now works with companies, charities, government and other organisations creating and delivering their own media needs.
